Dear Suruhanu,
I recently visited your website on ancient chamori
massage therapy, which you called: Hinilos Aniti.
I have lived in Saipan and Guam but have never
heard of such a therapy. Can you explain its
origin and association with our people?
Thank you very much.

Hi Angie,
The Hinilos Aniti massage therapy has been
practiced in Guahan for thousands of years.
It has always been referred to as "Malassa",
rather than the present name of "Hinilos Aniti".
The new reference term was adopted by Mr. Perez
because it brings out the specialty of the therapy.
Malassa is a general term for massage and does
not give our ancient therapy any justice. The
Hinilos Aniti massage system personifies the
brilliance and the scientific mind of our ancestors.
Not only is it unique and different from anything
in the world, but it is also accentuated with nature
and practicality. Experience it. You will surely
enjoy it.

Hafa Adai!
I am writing to you in regards to an issue that I have been enduring for quite some time.
I am only, but twenty-six years old and still have not bared any children.
About seven years ago, I had seen a Suruhanu in Barrigada.
She had massaged me, then put some type of medicine onto
a rag of some sort and had inserted it inside of me.
The medicine had fallen out within about a week's time.
I had gotten pregnant some time later and then miscarried in
August 1993 with only being five weeks pregnant.
Since then, I had some tests done to see why is it that
I am having such a hard time getting pregnant again.
The doctor had told me that he thinks that it may be scar
tissues that may have built up which is preventing my
egg to fall through. That the only way for me to get pregnant
is to have it lasered out. I'm really not one for any type of
surgery or needles. Let alone a laser! I don't even know
what one looks like or couldn't even imagine what a laser
would look like! My Auntie (my Mother's younger sister) had seen a
Suruhanu in Guam and she ended up giving birth to a baby girl after
sixteen years of trying! She kept telling me to see the lady that helped her,
which I never did because I had moved out here to North Carolina.
Now, the lady that helped her is deceased and now I feel hopeless.
I really would like to conceive a child one day in the nearest of my future.
For I had grown up as an only child and I do pray to make my
mother a grandmother at some time or another.
Please help me with any advice you may have to offer.
Just a chamorrita in distress,
~Bobbie Jean Fejeran Crisostomo~

Hafa Adai,
We will help you for two reasons.
1. You are Chamori  2. You do believe in our ancestral powers.
There are only two reasons why you have failed to get pregnant.
The first reason is you are too anxious. And secondly, you must perform
the sacred acts in a full moon. Please send us your mailing address.
We will send you some Ancient Chamori medicine called: Pupulun Aniti.
It comes in a powder form which you can mix with hot tea. This potion is
taken two hours prior to engaging in the sacred acts. We will be sending you
4 packets of the herbal medicine. There is NO CHARGE for our services
because Suruhanus and Suruhanas do not Charge a Fee for helping our people.
We will await your response and your address.

I am a massage therapist in Oneonta, NY and am interested in learning more
about your therapy. One of the articles I read said the implements are sold
in a kit. Would that also come with a video to show how they are used?
And how much is this?
I would like more information.
Thanx

Hafa Adai Patty,
Thank you for your message.
The ancient Chamoris developed the massage technique called: Hinilos Aniti,
meaning: Spiritual Touch, using special wood and lava rock implements. They
were very practical people. Using special implements meant that massaging
became an extension of the entire body and not just the fingers or hands..which
tend to be tiresome. We provide massages in Saipan, Rota, Tinian, Guahan and
now in the islands of Hawaii. The massage kits we offer has a wood and lava stone
implement, special niyok (coconut) oil, and complete instructions on their
use. The cost is $265.00.

In our islands, Hinilos Aniti is a very sacred and traditional therapy,
conducted only by the young men of the Songsong (village) who have been
specially trained by our Maga'Saina. Additionally, they have to be fully
attired in the traditional Sadi'...in order to perform these sacred
massages.
Hope that answers your questions.
If we can assist you further, please do not hesitate to write.

Hafa Adai Ms. George,
Thank you for visiting our Hinilos Aniti Massage Therapy site.
The ancient people of Guahan or Taotaomo'nas, developed this unique massage therapy system using
special wood and lava stone implements. They called it "Hinilos Aniti" or spiritual touch. We provide
massages in Guahan, Rota, Tinian, Saipan and now, here in the islands of Hawaii. We do have a
Therapy kit that we offer worldwide and it comes with the massaging implements, vials of special
coconut oil and massage instructions. Hope that answers some of your immediate questions.
Should require more, please do not hesitate to call on us or send us an email note.

Hello Chelu,
A year ago, I was in Guahan on vacation.
My wife wanted my to see a Suruhanu about
a persistent rash on my back. The doctors at
the Navy hospital had given me some ointment
which helped for awhile but the rash came back
after a few weeks. This had gone on for over
a year. My wife convinced me to seek local help.
I took a chance and met Norbert, your Saina.
He gave me some lanan niyok to use as palai.
He told me to take a candle and light it up. He said
to pour some palai on my hand and to warm my
palms over the lighted candle. Then he instructed me
to rub my hand on the affected area. Since doing so, the
rash has not returned. I am writing to ask if I can
have more of that lanan niyok as I am running low.
Thank you very much for all your help.

Hafa adai suruhanu,
I have a problem that I wish to correct.
I am 42 years old and I am almost
completely bald. Do you have an
ancient ointment that can restore
hair loss?

Hafa adai GR,
With all the scientific studies done on the subject
matter, researchers are still puzzled as to a concrete
cause for hair loss. The ancient Chinese and the
ancient Chamoris, in my opinion, have the most
plausible explanation. The ancient people of China
attribute the hair loss syndrome to an imbalance
in the person's ying and yang. The ancient people
of Guahan believed hair loss is a result of a
physical and spiritual conflict. And this is not to
say that a bald person is mentally unstable or
physically handicapped. It can be interpreted
as someone who is spiritually and mentally
challenged. Why do you think the generations
have associated bald people with intelligence.
The ancient ones in Palau believed that washing
one's hair with coconut oil will restore lost hair
and some scientists are already zeroing in on it.
The ancient Chamoris did not have an ointment
for hair restoration. Baldness wasn't a problem
back then and we don't consider it one now.

Buenas Nobit,
Do you know of anyone in the California area
who is a Suruhanu? I would like to have a
Suruhanu examine my shoulders and cure
me of my ailments. If you don't know of any,
can you tell me if and when you will be in
the California area so we can make some
arrangements for a personal visit?

Buenas Jesus,
There is no one in the California area who is
a Suruhanu or Suruhana.
We suggest that you visit our new website
and order one of our "Hinilos Aniti Massage Kit".
Mr. Perez is now living in the Denver area but
commutes back and forth. He can assist you with
a personal visit but it will have to be in late April.
Please advise.
